摘要

In order to study the complex formation reasons of oil boilover fire. The thermogravimetry analysis, heat wave propagation velocity and linear burn rate of oil were measured. The results indicated that the ratio of heat wave propagation velocity and linear burn rate increased with oil heavy constituent, and oil with much heavy constituent more likely caused boilover formation. The relation of water ration, emulsify water droplets diameter and linear burn rate was studied in experiments. The results indicated that heat wave propagation rate had maximum value when the water ratio lay in the scope of 1. 3%-2%, and boilover didn't form when the emulsify water droplets diameter was smaller than 80μm on experiment condition. Six kinds of oil which have different boiling point(boiling range)and viscosity coefficient were used in experiments. The experiment results stated clearly that oil had higher boiling point(boiling range)when boilover intensity and the thickness of superheated water layer were increase. Along with the increase of oil viscosity coefficient, the boilover intensity and the thickness of superheated water layer increase. Experiment results can be used to study boilover mechanism, control boilover formation and decrease boilover damage.
