摘要

At present the inversion of magnetotelluric (MT) data is mostly based on the isotropic media, however, to meet the practical need of MT sounding, attention has been gradually paid to the anisotropic investigation. Adopting the widely used generalized inverse matrix method, which is simple and reliable; we conduct an exploratory research on the horizontally layered anisotropic model, and realize the inversion of the MT whole tensor response (that is, all the apparent resistivity and phase of the impedance tensor) to the one-dimensional anisotropic structure. The method has been tested extensively with synthetic data (noiseless data and noisy data) and proven to be successful and valid. When applied to the MT field data, the four pairs of the apparent resistivity and impedance phase curves could be fitted simultaneously. Therefore the method could be used to invert field data and its application has been proven valuable.
