In the title compound, C(17)H(13)NO, the N-H and C=O bonds are anti with respect to each other. The dihedral angle between the naphthalene ring system and the phenyl ring is 86.63 (5)degrees. In the crystal, N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds link molecules into chains along [010].
