Mechanical and Dynamic Analysis of Poly (Vinyl Alcohol)-Modified Wood Dust Nanocomposite

摘要

Wood dust was modified by maleic anhydride and to know the effect of various filler loading on the properties of PVA-modified wood dust composite prepared by a conventional solvent casting technique. The as-synthesized composite films were typically characterized by FTIR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. To study the temperature dependencies of the dynamic modulii, stress relaxation, mechanical loss, and damping phenomena of the composite material, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) was done. The tensile behavior of the composite films was analyzed. The biodegradability study of the composite materials was done by soil burial test and their morphological modification study was done using SEM.
