摘要

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of surfactant type and concentration in controlling particle size and entrapment efficiency. HS 15, F68, TPGS, PVA, Tween 80, Tween 20 and SDS were employed as surfactants in different concentration levels. The results showed that the particle size of emulsion solvent evaporation method was more sensitive to surfactant type and concentration than that of nanoprecipitation. For emulsion solvent evaporation, the mean size was roughly shown to increase in the following order: SDS < TPGS < Tween 20 approximate to HS 15 < Tween 80 < PVA. And the particle size decreased with the increase of surfactant concentration except PVA. Under certain conditions, the entrapment efficiency is strongly related with solubilization of surfactant on drug, that decreased with the increase of the solubilization.
