摘要
Two preterm infants with athetoid cerebral palsy due to bilirubin encephalopathy were examined by magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging at age 3 years. An increased glutamate/glutamine complex/creatine ratio was found in the basal ganglia. Chemical metabolic abnormalities of the basal ganglia were clearly demonstrated by color-coded metabolite images. (J Pediatr 2012; 160: 342-4)
