摘要

This paper presents an intelligent methodology to compensate dimensional errors of indexable inserts machined in grinding process. The compensation scheme includes two parts: error prediction and error compensation. The least square polynomial fitting is applied to get the overall dimensional error trend for error prediction. A low-pass filter is used to calculate the compensation for the next indexable insert. By comparing the dimensional variation before and after intelligent compensation, a satisfied result is obtained by applying the methodology.
