摘要

A biodegrable blend of Chitosan (CS) and Sodium Alginate (SA) was fabricated and used with curcumin for wound healing application. The chemical structure of the blend was characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis and in vivo study. The physicochemical characteristic results suggested that strong chemical interaction and uniform dispersion was observed between Chitosan and Alginate. The in vivo animal tests were employed to confirm the biocompatibility of the blend as wound-dressing application. Addition of curcumin with Chitosan-Alginate improved its property in wound healing surface. An in vivo model revealed that Chitosan-alginate with curcumin blends had superior to Chitosan-Alginate and saline system. Based on the results, Chitosan-Alginate with curcumin powder will become a promising biomaterial for wound dressing application.
