摘要
Sunscreens importantly contribute to photoprotection. Their efficacy in reducing photocarcinogenesis and photoaging is widely documented. Although there are concerns regarding long-term sunscreen safety, their advantages greatly outweigh potential risks. The review article presents a UV-induced skin damage prevention strategy, characteristics and safety of UV filters, and new technological improvements of sunscreens.
