摘要

The study aims to describe the influence of contingency factors internal and external perceptions of managers in managing the value chain of an agribusiness. Therefore, we developed descriptive, qualitative application of semistructured interviews with managers of the links in the value chain of an agribusiness located in the northern region of Rio Grande do Sul Using the technique of content analysis, the data obtained from the interviews semistructured were analyzed as well as identified and mapped the value chain of agribusiness, which has vertical payment. It is noted that there is flexibility as to the requirements relating to the structure of the properties of farms. As for the size of the farm, it is believed that this interferes with the reduction of fixed costs of integration. Customer preferences are reasons influences the quality of the processes to maintain product quality and are met through appropriate diets and proper handling of animals during transport and accommodation. Contingency factors similarly affect all links in the value chain and it is not possible to state that the management structure of the farms is totally decentralized.
