摘要

Oily cold rolling mill sludge is produced in the process of cold rolled strip production inevitably. This work presents a new method for recycling iron particles and cold rolling oil from this oily sludge by solvent extraction. Solvents were predicted through solubility parameters calculated by group contribution method. Average structure of cold rolling oil molecule was characterized with the help of modern analytical techniques. Solubility parameters were calculated in Small, Fedors, Lawson, and Hansen methods. Further experiments were carried out and the results indicated Fedors solubility parameter is more accurate in solvents prediction of cold rolling oil.
