摘要

In the present letter, we report a solution-phase synthetic route for the gram-scale preparation of Sb2O3 octahedron microcrystals at room-temperature, employing antimony potassium tartrate and NH3 center dot H2O as starting materials. The phase and morphology of the product were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS), selected area electron diffraction (SAED), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum of the as-prepared Sb2O3 sample gives the value of optical absorption edge energy to be 4.0 eV. Photoluminescence (PL) spectrum indicates that Sb2O3 octahedron microcrystals possess a broad band with a peak wavelength of around 470 nm.
