摘要

The detectability and discrimination technology of the space tracking and surveillance system (STSS) are analyzed so as to evaluate the optical discrimination capability of the US ballistic missile defense (BMD) system. The detecting range and spatial resolution of the sensors are analyzed through predicting the configuration parameters of the space-borne optical sensors on STSS. The principle and technology approach to infrared point target discrimination are discussed by using the infrared spectrum and thermal features. Some analyses and calculated results are given.
