摘要

This letter presents three different strategies for waking up wireless sensor network (WSN) motes via radio frequency identification (RFID). Based on our prior work on the design of augmented ultrahigh-frequency RFID tags and ultrasensitive RF energy harvesters, the proposed solutions significantly outperform state-of-art RFID wake-up radios (both broadcast based and ID based) for WSNs. In particular, improvements up to 4.2x and 7.8x have been achieved in terms of wake-up range and wake-up delay, respectively.
