摘要

Over time, the mining industry of exploitation of precious metals was regarded under different frontispieces, most of them being closely related to the potential of environmental pollution, sprang often from the use of cyanide in the mining technological process of extraction of these minerals from the host rock. In this context, the world-renowned specialists in chemical engineering domain and in other related fields have tried to find other alternatives much more reliable and efficient instead of using cyanide, but also to establish some transportation and handling alternatives of these dangerous substances in extreme safety conditions. Consequently, given the uncertainty that exists around this issues, as well as the subjectivity of the decision-makers who manage these issues, this paper proposes a fuzzy tool within 'Rosia Montana mining Project', which after its implementation by the specialists in chemistry, can confirm whether cyanide is indeed the most feasible and balanced current solution for the mining technological process, both in terms of environmental and social safety, as well as from economically point of view given the intrinsically characteristics of the ore from Rosia Montana. Moreover, using the same fuzzy tool also, implemented in the Java programming language, it will be taken into account the issue related to the selection of the most realiable and suitable suppliers of dangerous substances -especially cyanide-from mining industry, in order to eliminate to minimum the potential of pollution within the transportation and handling phases of these toxic substances.
