摘要

The cutting mechanism of the abrasive jet of the mixed solid and liquid flow was theoretically analyzed. The cold nod kinetic energy contributes to the cut of engineering ceramics via erosion. The cutting was resulted from air erosion, the striking of the water jet, kinetic pressure of the abrasive water and the fatigue caused by hydraulic power. The engineering ceramics of alumina, magnesium carbide and carborundum were cut by the mixed abrasive water jet. The effects of cutting parameter, water pressure, horizontal nozzle moving speed and target distance from the nozzle on the cutting depth in the ceramics were studied. Results showed that the garnet abrasive had little value for reuse after erosion.
