Aerosol growth in a medium with temperature gradient

摘要

The simple method of modelling aerosol growth developed in our previous paper (Nemchinsky and Shigeta 2012 Modelling Simul. Mater. Sci. Eng. 20 045017) is used to model nanoparticle growth in a plasma reactor with gas flow and steep temperature gradient. It is shown that depending on the parameters of the precursor monomers at the entrance of the reactor zone, an increase in gas speed could either increase or decrease the final nanoparticles' size at the exit of the reaction zone.
