GSC 2701-2527, a new multiperiodic high-amplitude Delta Scuti variable

Our BVI photometric observations reveal that GSC 2701-2527 is a high-amplitude delta Scuti star with quite low temperature. The frequency analysis exhibits that it is multiperiodic pulsator. The obtained period ratio f(1)/f(2)=0.791 is higher than the canonical value. The large value of the period ratio f(1)/f(3)=0.813 implies nonradial nature of the third mode. Using empirical relations for the ffi Scuti stars we determined the global parameters of GSC 2701-2527: luminosity 26.2 L-circle dot, radius 3.95 R-circle dot, mass 2.18 M-circle dot,and distance 506 pc.
