With the development of social demand for pharmaceutical undergraduates , a great task and challenge of cultivating pharmaceutical talents for modern pharmaceutical education was to meet the needs of society.Due to the unbalanced economic and social development , there are some great differences between the eastern and the mid-western region of China in the level of pharmaceutical higher educa-tion.From the perspective of the talent demand in the mid-western part of China ,this article has analyzed the existing problems and present situation of pharmaceutical education ,and discussed the reform of phar-maceutical education in China ’s central and western regions .
