The effect of Fe and Ni on the parameters of superelasticity of alloy Al - 11% Zn - 3%Mg - 0.8% Cu - 0.3% Zr is studied. It is shown that addition of 1% Ni and 0.6% Fe raises the volume fraction of second-phase particles from 6 to 14%, and this provides a more dispersed and partially recrystallized structure. As a result, the flow stress during superplastic deformation decreases by a factor of 1.5 - 2.0 and the elongation increases from 360 - 420% to 500 - 660% at deformation rates ranging within 2 x 10(-3) - 1 x 10(-2) sec(-1).
