摘要
Six auxotrophs were induced in Streptomyces tendae ATCC 31160 with transposon Tn4560. Insertion of the transposon into chromosomal DNA of these auxotrophs occurred at different sites suggesting that transposition may be random. Transposition frequency was 1 x 10(-3). Transposon-tagged antibiotic biosynthetic genes will provide a powerful tool for the isolation of genes involved in nikkomycin biosynthesis.
