摘要

The regularized long wave (RLW) equation is solved numerically by means of the meshfree method, based on collocation with the integrated radial basis functions (IRBFs). Different kinds of RBFs is used for this purpose. Single solitary wave motion, two solitary waves interaction, the Maxwellian initial condition, wave undulation, and conservation properties of mass, momentum and energy are explored. A numerical comparison of the results from the proposed method, and some other published numerical methods, is also done. In addition, overlapping domain decomposition with both multiplicative and additive Schwarz iterative techniques, are developed for a considerable reduction of the overall time taken by the method.
