Differential cross-section measurements of the elastic Li-7(d,d(0)) scattering for analytical purposes

摘要

The differential cross sections of the elastic Li-7(d,do) scattering were measured at five angles (125 degrees, 140 degrees, 150 degrees, 160 and 170 degrees) with silicon surface barrier (SSB) detectors and for deuteron energies ranging from 900 to 2000 keV, in steps of 5-50 keV. The target used was a thin (LiF)-Li-nat target. The whole experimental procedure and analysis are presented and the results, compared to those already present in literature for the scattering angle of 125 degrees, appear to be in a good agreement. Furthermore, for the low energy region (up to E-d,E-lab similar to 1300 keV, depending on the angle) the cross section values correspond to the sum of the Li-7(d,d(0)) and Li-7(d,p(0)) cross section values due to peak overlap.
