Bismuth ferrite composite thin films

0.60Bi(0.90)La(0.10)FeO(3)-0.40Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O-3 composite thin films were deposited on Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si(100) substrates by radio-frequency sputtering and their ferroelectric and fatigue properties were mainly investigated. The composite thin films have a low dielectric loss, a high dielectric constant, and enhanced ferroelectric properties of 2P (r similar to)122.6 mu C/cm(2) and 2E (c similar to)479.3 kV/cm, together with a fatigue-free behavior at 200 kHz. Their fatigue behavior is strongly dependent on measurement frequencies, and the concentration of oxygen vacancies plays an important role in their fatigue behavior.
