Angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma is a common form of peripheral T cell lymphoma with a generally poor prognosis. Cytological diagnosis is challenging due to the differential diagnoses including benign and malignant entities. A multimodality approach involving conventional cytology, immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry is critical in making the diagnosis.
