Noncompact Riemannian spaces with G (2), Spin(7) and SU(2m) holonomies

The survey contains a description of the author's results on constructing Riemannian metrics with exceptional holonomies on noncompact manifolds. We give a detailed description of how to reduce a condition of the holonomy to be exceptional to a system of ODEs. We describe the behavior of the trajectories and the ways to resolve singularities of such systems, and also study concrete examples. Introduction and first chapter contain necessary definitions and well-known facts about holonomies. Conclusion contains a description of other results proven with the help of the same technique and a minimal survey on Lorentzian holonomies.
