摘要

In order to test and verify the applicability of the polyhedral mesh for simulations of flow around hulls, especially for simulations of high speed flow around a hull with free surface and considering hull motions, the polyhedral mesh was used to predict the drag of a submarine model DARPA Suboff. Besides, a numerical method with polyhedral mesh, hybrid mesh, dynamic zone and turbulence models was developed to calculate the sailing characteristics of Fast Mono-WPC. The numerical results were compared with the experimental results. Fine applicability of polyhedral mesh for simulations of flow around hulls was verified and demonstrated.
