摘要

Locating a Mobile station (MS) in wireless network is currently an important research topic. Instead of linearizing the nonlinear hyperbolic equations, a novel noise subspace approach is proposed for hyperbolic mobile location using the Multidimensional scaling (MDS) analysis whose loss function is related to a scalar product matrix. This approach is further improved using the Weighted least squares (WLS) algorithm. It is robust to large measurement noise due to the fact that the dimension knowledge and eigen-structure of the scalar matrix are exploited. Computer simulations are included to verify the theoretical development and to contrast the estimator performance with the Two-step WLS (TWLS) method and the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB).
