<正>Electrocatalysis is itself a very fundamental discipline in electrochemistry historically. It is now the fundamental of various modern technologies that would support a sustainable and green society. Therefore, “fundamental” seems a lasting label of electrocatalysis. Then, what is fundamental electrocatalysis? This is the question we asked ourselves when conceiving this special issue.
