In the title compound, [Cu(C7H5O2)(2)(C3H4N2)(2)(H2O)]center dot H2O, the Cu-II atom is in a distorted square-pyramidal environment. The molecules are assembled into double chains extending along [010] by N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds. These double chains are linked by O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to (102); the layers are linked into a three-dimensional network by van der Waals interactions.
