Laser shock processing (LSP) was introduced to treat electron beam welding (EBW) joints of TA15 titanium alloy. After LSP treatment, surface hardness, corrosion resistance, tensile mechanical properties at 300 degrees C, and the fractures of joints were detected. The results show the properties of TA15 titanium alloy EBW joints treated by LSP have been improved. After LSP treatment, the bead surface HV hardness is increased. Compared with original weld beads, the corrosion resistance of these joints treated by LSP is not reduced. After LSP treatment, tensile properties of TA15 titanium alloy joints at 25 and 300 degrees C are improved observably.
