摘要

In this study, we experimentally demonstrated that the concentrations of ammonia (NIT,) gas con be detected by a fiber sensor based on the poly-aniline(PANI) sensing film coated on the surface of an etched superstructure fiber Bragg grating (SFBG). This sensing mechanism is based on the W, gas to interact with the PANI-coating film to cause the film index change and then to result in the Bragg wavelength shift. The sensitivity of this sensor is around 0.073 pm/ppm, which requires to be improved in the future for achieving a simple, reliable, repeatable, and nondestructive chemical-gas fiber sensor.
