摘要

A novel Vivaldi antenna hybrid loaded with patches, resistors, and the split-ring resonator ( SRR) structure has been presented in this letter, since the resistors and the SRR structure are deemed to be capable of extending the low-end bandwidth limitation and improving the impedance characteristics at the lower frequency. As contrast, the hybrid loaded and resistor loaded Vivaldi antennas design are numerically and experimentally demonstrated, showing the benefits of the adopted structure in extending the relative bandwidth to 168.22% and 160.77%, reducing the low-end operating frequency of 69.8% and 57.8%, respectively. Compared with traditional Vivaldi antennas, the hybrid loaded Vivaldi antenna indicates the feasibility of extending the relative working bandwidth and reducing the low-end working frequency while maintaining preferable miniaturization characteristics.
