摘要

A novel transport phenomenon is explored by investigating the disorder effect on electron transport through an order-disorder separated ultra-thin quantum film with side attached metallic electrodes. In the strong disorder regime, the current amplitude across the film increases with the increase of the disorder strength, while it decreases in the weak disorder regime. This anomalous behavior is completely opposite to that of a bulk disordered system, where the current amplitude always decreases with the increase of the disorder strength. In this present model, we also discuss the significant effects of the total number of layers and the size of each layer of the film on such transport.
