摘要

A dual-mode blind channel equalization algorithm for high-order quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) signals is proposed. The proposed algorithm, named momentum constellation matching error modified constant modulus algorithm (MCME-MCMA), firstly starts the equalization by momentum MCMA algorithm, and then introduces a constellation matching error term when it beginning to converge, which significantly reduces the steady-state mean square error (MSE). An optimized switching-point is provided and confirmed by simulations. Simulations demonstrate that MCME-MCMA improves the convergence rate and decreases the MSE by 5-7 dB for 64-QAM and 256-QAM compared with that of MCMA.
