摘要

Escherichia coli strains with the O157 LPS serotype are often related to foodborne infections. During their interaction with host cells, they may cause cytoskeletal alterations. While manipulations of the actin cytoskeleton have been well documented in literature, to date the information on other cytoskeletal elements is insignificant. This study describes data on the re-distribution of tubulin, the microtubule-associated motor protein dynein and the vesicle membrane-docking protein VDP during a short, up to 2 h co-cultivation of He La cells with a strain of E. coli O157:H-. The analytical technique used is immunolabelling for confocal laser scanning microscopy. The results show that the examined strain of E. coli O157:H- is not capable of evoking rapid actin re-distribution during the examined 2 h interval. Nevertheless, the strain has impact on the distribution of tubulin, dynein and VDP in the He La cells, which implies affected intracellular transport.
