摘要

Vertically ordered ZnO nanowire arrays on indium in oxide (ITO) glass substrate were synthesized by a microwave-assisted hydrothermal method. The growth of the nanowires was fastened by a continuous raw solution dropping setup, so that the time of producing long ZnO nanowire was relatively reduced. Together with high density of nanowires on the entire substrate, the sample owns large surface-to-volume (S/V) ratio. When used as the photocatalyst to degrade methyl orange (MO), experimental results show that the samples have good photocatalytic activity and retain the high photocatalytic efficiency after seven times recycling. This makes it efficient for waste water treatment.
