We present a new methodology to predict embryo viability in assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments by determining the relative amino acid concentrations in human embryo culture medium on day 3, using high-performance liquid chromatography with mass spectroscopy analysis without derivatization. The model was performed with soft independent modeling of class analogy for the samples from nonpregnancy and pregnancy cases. (Fertil Steril (R) 2010;94:772-4.
