摘要

The reaction of potassium 2,5-bis{N-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)intinomethyl}pyrrolyl, ((DIP(2)pyr)K], with the anhydrous lanthanide diiodides resulted in the heteroleptic contplexes [(DIP(2)pyr)Lnl(THF)(3)] (Ln = Sm, Eu, Yb). All complexes are monomeric in the solid state, which is remarkable since samarium and europium complexes tend to form &merle complexes bridged by iodine ions. The (DIP(2)pyr)(-) ligands are coordinated almost symmetrically in a K(3) N, N', N '' mode to the metal center in the Samarium and europium compounds. In contrast, for the terbitIM complex an asymmetric coordination mode was observed.
