Measurement of the CKM angle gamma in B-+/- -> DK +/- decays with the BABAR detector: status and prospects

We report on the measurement of the CKM angle gamma in B-+/--> DK +/- decays with the BABAR detector. A general overview of different methods of analysis and a critical discussion of the most sensitive methods are presented here.
