摘要

In this project, Numerical models have been developed to simulate high-temperature flow reactors to gain a better understanding of the particle formation processes which includes thermophoretic deposition transport of nanoparticles to the cold reactor walls. The developed models provide information on quenching phenomenon, particle generation, velocity, and temperature distribution within the reactor. Quenching methods has shown to be an important tool to control the nanoparticles growth and its thermophoretic deposition. The effect of cold gas injection flow rate on the characteristics of the final product was also studied.
