摘要

A novel and simple spectrophotometric method for the determination of terbutaline with potassium ferricyanide as a chromogenic reagent is established in this paper. It is based on the fact that Fe(III)is reduced to Fe(II)by terbutaline at pH 4.00 in the presence of potassium ferricyanide and Fe(II)reacts with potassium ferricyanide to form the dissoluble prussian blue.Beer's law is obeyed in a range of 0.06 ~ 8 μg·ml-1.The equation of linear regression is A=0.05417+0.15575C(μg·mL-1),with a linear correlation coefficient of 0.9988.The molar absorption coefficient is 8.5×104 L·mol-1·cm-1.The detection limit is 0.04 μg·mL-1,and the recovery rate is in the range of 99.0% ~ 102.7%.Furthermore,the method has been validated and successfully applied to the determination of terbutaline in pharmaceutical samples.
