AMENABILITY AND APPROXIMATE AMENABILITY OF l(1)-MUNN ALGEBRAS

We study amenability and approximate amenability of l(1)-Munn algebras over Banach algebras. We then show that the l(1)-Munn algebra LMI (u) over a unital Banach algebra u is approximately amenable if and only if u is approximately amenable and I is finite. Applications to semigroup algebras are given.
