摘要

In the paper, study of the electrochemical injection as a new method for increasing the transport rate of corrosion inhibitors in concrete was presented. Calcium nitrite as a penetrating corrosion inhibitor was used. The migration of nitrite ions was investigated in noncarbonated and carbonated mortar samples, without and with chlorides (1% of Cl- by weight of cement). Measurements were done at an impressed electric field of varying intensity, corresponding to the current density up to 4.9 A/m(2) of mortar surface. It was found, that the application of electric current significantly increases the transport rate of nitrite ions in mortar. The greatest acceleration was found for chloride noncontaminated and noncarbonated mortar.
