The synthesis, structure, and magnetism is reported for an antiferromagnetically coupled, disc-shaped cluster containing the anionic ligand carbamoylcyanonitrosomethanide (ccnm), [Fe8O6(MeO)(6)(ccnm)(6)], with an (Fe8O3)-O-III core.
