A New Advancement of the Lead Markets Research

摘要

The concept of "lead markets" developed from the concept of "lead user" in the end of 1980s and the beging of the 1990s. It has been more than 20 years ever since. In practice, more counties lay stress on the lead markets for its highlight role in the industr development and national economic growth. So far as methodology, the lead markets research has huge advantages combing "core technology" and "potential market". Jiaxi WU & Guisheng WU from Tsinghua University sum up the existing research literatures of lead markets, including the definition, determination and identification of lead markets; Our paper summarizes and expands the following aspects: the characteristics of lead markets, demand-side innovation policy, historic innovation system, economics analysis, policy applicationg, and so on.
