摘要

In traditional cellular networks with regular cell planning, cellular resource is uniformly allocated to each macrocell in a regular manner. In 4G cellular networks with autonomous infrastructure deployment, spectrum resource is spatially reused in a random fashion and the network interference requires new methods for optimization. We design a media access control (MAC) scheduler that autonomously manages network interference and balances cellular resource allocation in an autonomous infrastructure network. Compared to the existing schedulers, our scheme works in a much simpler manner requiring less exchange of the channel information between neighboring cells. Improved performance is evaluated in an autonomous Wi-Fi network based on the modified IEEE 802.11a standard.
