摘要

A new hysteretic and damage model is presented, aimed at predicting the behavior of confined masonry walls subjected to cyclic lateral forces. It takes into account the strength and stiffness degradation as functions of damage accumulation. It provides more accurate representations of the shapes of the hysteretic cycles and the rates of strength and stiffness degradation than those obtained with the aid of some currently used models. In particular, it is capable of representing the shapes of force-deformation functions, including pinching effects. Some illustrative examples are presented, based on the information provided by experimental data from full-scale masonry panels.
