A new multi-attribute decision-making method by applying robustness analysis

It is very important to assign weights to each attribute during the decision analysis process. Sometimes, the tiny difference among weights can give rise to a great change in the decision results. In the paper, a robustness analysis method with respect to the weights of attributes based on linear programming method is introduced. Decision results with this method cannot only get all the alternatives ranking, but also include the stable interval of weights and the optimal weights together, which can ensure the decision results are scientific and effective. Furthermore, a model for supplier choice, which is the core problem in production and operation management, is developed. It shows that the model is simple and can be carried out with the Microsoft Excel.
