摘要

Condensed TiC-xAl2O3/Fe (x=0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1) cermets were prepared by in-situ aluminium-carbon reduction using Ilmenite as the raw material. The bond types, electron structure and properties of the composite were calculated through first principle dynamics simulation. Results showed the strengths of ionic and covalent bond in the composite are weaker than those in TiC/Fe due to Al2O3 addition, and flexual strength and toughness of the TiC-xAl2O3/Fecermet significantly decrease with increasing the content of Al2O3.
